Entertaiment is the enjoyment of amusement, recreation, or pleasure. It includes activities such as watching movies or television, playing sports and games, listening to music, reading books and magazines, and experiencing art. Entertaiment can also be a means of escape or relaxation from daily routines or stress. The word entertainment is derived from the Medieval Latin inter tenere, which comes from the prefix in- meaning “inside” and the suffix tenere, from the Indo-European root ten.
